Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Add 2 tablespoons water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt to a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil and the sugar has dissolved.
Add 2 cups pecan halves to the skillet. Stir gently to coat the pecans evenly in the brown sugar mixture.
Continue cooking the pecans for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until they are completely coated and the glaze has thickened.
Transfer the pecans to the prepared baking sheet. Use a fork to separate any pecans that are sticking together.
Let the pecans cool completely at room temperature. The glaze will firm up as the pecans cool.
Once completely cooled, serve and enjoy.
