- 1 yellow cake mix
- 2 cans apple pie filling 21 ounce cans
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce or topping
- 1 stick butter sliced

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread 2 (21-ounce) cans apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Drizzle ½ cup caramel sauce evenly over the apple pie filling.
Sprinkle 1 yellow cake mix evenly over the caramel and apple filling, covering the entire surface.
Slice 1 stick butter into thin pats and arrange them evenly over the top of the cake mix. Alternatively, melt the butter and drizzle it evenly over the cake mix.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly around the edges.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and an extra drizzle of caramel sauce, if desired.
