Ingredients

  • 1 13.25-ounce Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the Devil’s Food cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until the dough is smooth and well combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips by hand until they’re evenly mixed throughout the dough.
  • Use a 1.5-tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the dough and place each scoop about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cookies look set.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store the cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4–5 days.
To keep them extra soft, place a slice of bread in the container (replace as it dries out).
For longer storage, freeze the cookies in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
