This Easy Banana Pudding Recipe will be the new family favorite. All of the delicious layers of pudding, whipped cream and more make this so tasty. Plus, the layers look gorgeous in a trifle dish.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk and 1 1/2 cups ice-cold water for about 1 minute until well combined.
Add 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix. Beat for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 3-4 hours, or overnight, until the pudding mixture is fully set.
In a separate chilled mixing bowl, whip 3 cups heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
Gently fold the whipped cream into the chilled pudding mixture until no streaks remain.
In a trifle dish, arrange 1/3 of the 12-ounce box Nilla Wafers in an even layer. Top with 1/3 of the 4 cups sliced bananas, then spread 1/2 of the pudding mixture over the bananas.
Repeat with another 1/3 of the Nilla Wafers, another 1/3 of the sliced bananas, and the remaining pudding mixture.
Top with the remaining 1/3 of the Nilla Wafers and the remaining 1/3 of the sliced bananas. Garnish with additional whole or crushed Nilla Wafers, if desired.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or up to 8 hours, before serving.
Notes
If you don’t have a trifle dish you can use a glaze 9x13 dish and just do two layers.
