In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mixture and cold mix. Then stir in the cool whip. Refrigerate the pudding mixture for 10-15 minutes to allow it to thicken.
Spoon approximately 2 teaspoons of the pudding mixture onto the flat side of a half of the vanilla wafers and set aside .
Place the chocolate chips in a shallow microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
Dip the tops of the remaining vanilla wafers into the chocolate and allow the excess chocolate to drip off. Then place it on top of the wafers with the pudding mixture.
Refrigerate the cookies until the chocolate is set. Then the cookies are ready to serve and enjoy!

These cookies are best served fresh, but you can refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
