Ingredients

  • 2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Powder Sugar

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 cup milk and 2 large eggs until well combined.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined and the batter is smooth. Do not overmix.
  • Heat 1/4 cup vegetable oil in a deep skillet or saucepan over medium heat until hot.
  • Pour approximately 1/2 cup of batter into the hot oil in a circular, crisscrossing pattern to create the funnel cake shape. You can also use a piping bag or squeeze bottle to drizzle the batter.
  • Fry for 60–90 seconds per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Carefully remove the funnel cake from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  • Immediately dust the warm funnel cake with powdered sugar.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter until all the funnel cakes are cooked. The batter will make approximately 4–6 funnel cakes, depending on size.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
