For the Cupcakes:
- 1 box White Cake Mix 15 oz box
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/2 cup Butter softened
- 1/2 cup Buttermilk
- 1/2 cup Rosé Wine
For the Frosting:
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter softened
- 1 cup Shortening
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Rosé Wine
- 8-9 cups Powdered Sugar
- Pink Food Coloring

For the Cupcakes:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and fill the pan with cupcake liners.
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and egg until light and fluffy. Then add in the cake mix, buttermilk and wine.
Divide the batter into cupcake liners approximately 2/3 full.
Bake for 12-14 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool completely on a cooling rack.
For the Frosting:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butters and shortening until smooth, about 3-5 minutes
Gradually add powdered sugar alternating with a couple tablespoons of the wine until desired consistency.
Add in the food coloring until the frosting is the color that you prefer.
To Decorate:
Fit a decorator bag with a 2D decorating tip (curved star tip with 6 prongs).
Create a dollop in the center of the cupcake and then gently swirl the frosting around the cupcake to create the Rose design on top of the cupcake.
Then the cupcakes are ready to serve and enjoy!
You may not need all the powdered sugar or wine for the frosting. Gradually add them into the mixture until the frosting is the consistency that you prefer.
Store the leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
