Strawberry Angel Food Cake

Strawberry Angel Food Cake is the perfect blend of fluffy angel food cake, jello, cool whip and strawberries. The whipped cream on top makes each bite even better.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Strawberry Jell-O 3 ounces
  • 1 1/4 cups Boiling Water
  • 1 pound Frozen Sliced Strawberries
  • 1 Angel Food Cake diced into 1 inch pieces
  • 16 ounces Cool Whip thawed, divided

Instructions

  • Bring the water to a boil and stir in the jell-O mix.  Move the mixture to a large mixing bowl (allow it to cool) and stir in the frozen sliced strawberries.
  • Gently stir in the 1/2 of the cool whip and the diced angel food pieces.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9X13 baking pan.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight).
  • When serving, top with the remaining Cool whip.
  • Serve topped with fresh strawberries and enjoy!

Notes

You can easily use a store bought or homemade angel food cake for this recipe.  
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
