Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are made with the delicious toll house cookies everyone loves. They are soft and delicious with tons of chocolate chips in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts optional Walnuts or Pecans work great!

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9X13 baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.  Then set aside.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.  Add in the eggs and vanilla extract.  Mix until combined.
  • Reduce the speed on the mixer to low and gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined (be careful not to over mix).
  • Gently stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts into the batter (reserve some for the top) with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the pan and press the reserved chocolate chips and nuts on top and gently press them down into the batter.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top of the bars is golden brown and the edges are set.
  • Cool the bars on a wire rack at room temperature.
  • Then the bars are ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store the leftovers in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for up to 1 week.
