American Flag Cake
Every 4th of July or Memorial Day party needs an American Flag Cake. This recipe is super easy and not complicated at all. Let the kids help and make it an annual tradition.

- 1 vanilla cake mix - prepared
- 1 tub of vanilla icing
- 1 pint blueberries
- 2 lbs strawberries
Get Recipe Ingredients
Rinse the blueberries and strawberries under cool water. Pat dry and set aside.
Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to the package directions. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan and bake as directed on the box.
Allow the cake to cool completely before decorating.
Spread the tub of vanilla icing evenly over the cooled cake.
Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into thin, even slices. Thin slices will make it easier to create the flag design.
Arrange the blueberries in a rectangle in the upper left corner of the cake to create the flag’s blue section.
Place the sliced strawberries in rows across the cake, slightly overlapping each slice, to create the red stripes.
Serve immediately or cover and store the cake in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
