Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine 2 cups graham cracker crumbs and ½ cup melted unsalted butter. Stir until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
Press the graham cracker mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Refrigerate while preparing the cream cheese layer.
In a large mixing bowl, beat 12 ounces softened cream cheese and ¼ cup granulated sugar until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes.
Fold in 8 ounces Cool Whip until evenly combined. Spread the mixture over the chilled graham cracker crust.
Arrange 3 sliced bananas evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Spread 20 ounces well-drained crushed pineapple evenly over the bananas.
Arrange 16 ounces hulled and sliced strawberries evenly over the pineapple.
Spread the remaining 8 ounces Cool Whip evenly over the strawberries.
Sprinkle ½ cup chopped walnuts over the top.
Drizzle chocolate syrup over the dessert and garnish with maraschino cherries. The recipe does not specify amounts for either topping, so add them to taste.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before slicing and serving.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
