Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 Box Chocolate Cake Mix 15.25 ounces
  • 1 Box Fudge Brownie Mix 18.3 ounces
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips

For the Ganache Topping:

  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips

Instructions

For the Cake:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease and flour a bundt pan (12 cup bundt pan).
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cake mix, brownie mix, eggs, water and vegetable oil until combined.
  • Gently stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into the bundt pan.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove the pan from the oven.  Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  • Then carefully turn the bundt pan over onto the rack to cool completely.

For the Ganache Topping:

  • Place the heavy whipping cream in a microwave safe bowl.  Heat for 2-3 minutes until the cream is hot but not boiling.  Watch it closely so that it doesn’t get too warm and over boil.
  • Add the chocolate chips into the heavy whipping cream.  Cover with a plate and allow the mixture to sit for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then stir the mixture thoroughly until smooth and combined.
  • Pour the ganache topping over the cooked cake.
  • Then the cake is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
