Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 11.5 oz package chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together 1/2 cup softened butter and 1 cup packed brown sugar until creamy and well combined.
  • Add 3 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture, stirring until fully combined. The batter will be thick.
  • Fold in 11.5 ounces chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish using the back of a spoon or spatula.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Be careful not to overbake.
