Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1.5 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a 10-inch cast-iron skillet for the cookie dough.
  • Melt 1 cup butter in the microwave for 15–30 seconds, just until softened or partially melted.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, ¾ cup white sugar, and ¾ cup brown sugar. Mix until well combined.
  • Add 2 large eggs and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Mix until fully incorporated.
  • Add 2½ cups all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix just until the dry ingredients are incorporated. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in 1½ cups milk chocolate chips by hand.
  • Transfer the cookie dough to the 10-inch cast-iron skillet. Spread the dough evenly across the skillet.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set but still slightly soft.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
