Christmas Truffles

- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter softened at room temperature
- 2 cups White Cake Mix
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1-2 Tbsp Milk
- 1/2 cup Christmas Sprinkles divided
- 1 bag White Chocolate Chips 10 oz bag
Get Recipe Ingredients
In a large bowl, stir together the white cake mix and the sugar. Then stir in the butter and vanilla. Gradually add in the milk until the dough is combined but still thick enough to hold its shape. Then stir in most of the Christmas Sprinkles (reserve 2 Tbsp for topping)
Form the dough into 1 inch size balls, place them on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Heat in 20 second intervals (stirring after each interval) until the chocolate is fully melted.
Dip each of the balls in the chocolate. Gently remove them with a fork. Tap the fork on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate. Place the chocolate coated truffles on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Top each one with the reserved sprinkles. Work quickly to make sure that the sprinkles are placed on before the chocolate hardens.
Then refrigerate for 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.
I find that these are best stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
You can easily make these with your favorite type of chocolate if you’re not a fan of white chocolate.
*If you are worried about consuming raw flour from the cake mix, pour the cake mix on a baking sheet and bake it for 5 minutes at 350 degrees. Allow the cake mix to cool and then make the recipe as outlined.
