Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered Sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
  • In a large bowl, beat 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature) and 1/2 cup softened butter until fluffy and smooth (1–2 minutes).
  • Add 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar and beat until fully combined and fluffy (1–2 minutes).
  • Mix in 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, beating for about 1 minute.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • Chill dough in the refrigerator for 10–20 minutes to firm up.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10–11 minutes until cookies are set and light in color (do not brown).
  • Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
