Wash and peel the apples. Then slice them into thin slices and cut out the core with a cookie cutter or an apple corer.
Heat approximately 1 inch of the vegetable oil in a pot until it reaches approximately 350 degrees F.
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, baking powder, egg and 2 tbsp of the sugar until smooth.
Carefully dip each slice of the apple in the batter and then fry the coated apples in the oil. Cook for approximately 1 minute on each side until both sides are golden brown.
Then move the apples to a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
Stir together the topping ingredients in a shallow bowl. Dip the fried apple slices in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warmed to coat both sides with the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Serve while warm and enjoy!
