Deep Fried Brownies

Deep Fried Brownies are so easy and absolutely delicious. These deep-fried brownie balls are fried to perfection and topped with powdered sugar. It is simple but so decadent.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Brownie Mix prepared in a 9X13 pan
  • Ingredients to prepare the Brownies based on the package instructions.
  • Vegetable Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar for serving

For the Batter:

  • 1 1/2 cups Pancake Mix
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the brownies based on the package instructions in a 9X13 baking pan.
  • Let the brownies cool completely.
  • Then remove the edges from the brownies and cut them into 24 pieces.
  • Roll the brownies pieces into balls and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes (or until ready to use).
  • Heat 3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot until it is approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together the batter ingredients.
  • Dip the brownie balls into the batter until they are fully covered.
  • Place in the heated oil and cook for 2-3 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown.  Work in batches so you do not crowd the pan.
  • Remove from the oil and place on a plate lined with a paper towel to soak up the oil.
  • Sift the powdered sugar on top of the brownies when serving and enjoy!

Notes

Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
