Ingredients

For the Pop Tarts:

Instructions

  • Heat 3 inches of oil in a large pot or dutch oven.
  • Then gently mix together the pancake mix, egg, milk and 2 teaspoons of the vegetable oil in a large bowl.
  • Then dip each of the pop tarts into the batter and place them in the oil.  Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning them halfway through the cook time to brown both sides.
  • Then move them to a plate lined with paper towels.
  • Serve topped with the whipped cream, sprinkles and the cherry on top.  Enjoy!

Notes

This recipe can easily be made with your favorite type of pop tart.  I love using the Hot Fudge Sundae one but any will work great!
These are best served fresh, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
