Easter Egg Rice Krispie Treats

Easter egg rice krispie treats make such a festive and tasty dessert. Try making these for Easter for a treat everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 18 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 12 Tablespoons Butter
  • 16 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • Pink Purple, Yellow and Blue Food Coloring

Instructions

  • Make Rice Krispie treats in 4 different batches for the 4 different color of Easter eggs.
  • Melt 3 tablespoons of butter in the microwave in a large microwave safe bowl.  Add 5 cups of mini marshmallows.  Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until completely melted.
  • Add a few drops of pink food coloring to the melted marshmallow mix. Stir until well combined.
  • Stir in 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal. Mix until completely coated. Spread evenly in prepared pan.
  • Follow the same process 3 more times with the purple, yellow and blue food coloring.
  • Allow the Rice Krispie mixture to cool slightly.
  • Now it’s time to make the Easter eggs!
  • Grab a handful of the Rice Krispie mixture and use your hands to form the Easter eggs.
  • Then allow the Rice Krispie Eggs to cool completely.
  • Enjoy!

Store these in an air tight container for up to 1 week.  The Rice Krispie treats are best within the 1st few days of making them.
