For the Blondies:
- 1/2 cup unsalted Butter melted
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/4 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 cup Butterscotch Chips
For the Maple Butter Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Real Maple Syrup
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened

For the Blondies:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray an 8X8 baking pan with nonstick spray or parchment paper.
Beat together the butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Then stir in the flour mixture into the butter/sugar mixture by hand until just combined. Do not over mix.
Then gently stir in the butterscotch chips.
Spread the batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the blondies cool slightly.
For the Maple Butter Sauce:
In a medium saucepan, stir together the butter, syrup, brown sugar and cream cheese.
Heat on medium low heat and stir until melted, smooth and combined.
Simmer on low for 10-15 minutes, stirring the mixture frequently.
Cut the brownies into squares while they are still warm. Serve the blondies topped with the maple butter sauce and butter pecan ice cream (if you prefer).
