Ingredients

  • 8 cups Chex Cereal divided equally
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter divided equally
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil divided equally
  • 1 cup Red Candy Melts
  • 1 Cup Blue Candy Melts
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar divided equally
  • 2 one gallon ziplock bags
  • 1 1/2 cups red white and blue m&ms

Instructions

  • In a microwave safe bowl, combine the 1 cup of blue candy melts, 1/4 cup of peanut butter and 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir and cook in 15 second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Meanwhile, pour 4 cups of Chex cereal in a large bowl.
  • Pour the melted peanut butter and candy mixture over the cereal and quickly stir to coat.
  • In one of the gallon ziplock bags, pour in 1 cup of the powdered sugar. Then pour the coated cereal into the bag. Seal close and shake to coat the cereal.
  • Pour onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet and allow to cool.
  • Repeat the entire with the red candy melts.
  • Once the blue and red puppy chow are cooled, sprinkle the Red White and Blue m&ms over the top and stir to combine the colors.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
