- 8 cups Chex Cereal divided equally
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter divided equally
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil divided equally
- 1 cup Red Candy Melts
- 1 Cup Blue Candy Melts
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar divided equally
- 2 one gallon ziplock bags
- 1 1/2 cups red white and blue m&ms
Get Recipe Ingredients
In a microwave safe bowl, combine the 1 cup of blue candy melts, 1/4 cup of peanut butter and 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir and cook in 15 second intervals until melted and smooth.
Meanwhile, pour 4 cups of Chex cereal in a large bowl.
Pour the melted peanut butter and candy mixture over the cereal and quickly stir to coat.
In one of the gallon ziplock bags, pour in 1 cup of the powdered sugar. Then pour the coated cereal into the bag. Seal close and shake to coat the cereal.
Pour onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet and allow to cool.
Repeat the entire with the red candy melts.
Once the blue and red puppy chow are cooled, sprinkle the Red White and Blue m&ms over the top and stir to combine the colors.
Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
