Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
  • 3 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 bag Mini Marshmallows 10 oz bag
  • 1/2 cup Dry Cake Mix confetti, yellow or white
  • 1/2 cup Rainbow Sprinkles divided

Instructions

  • Spray a 9X13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Place the butter and marshmallows in a large microwave safe mixing bowl.  Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the dry cake mix.
  • Then carefully mix in the cereal and half of the rainbow sprinkles.
  • Press the mixture into the 9X13 pan.  I spray a piece of parchment paper with non-stick cooking spray and use this to press the mixture into the pan. Sprinkle the remaining sprinkles on top and gently press them down into the top of the Rice Krispie treats.
  • Allow the treats to set at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.  Then the Rice Krispie treats are ready to slice, serve and enjoy!

Notes

Do not store these treats in the refrigerator. They are best left to cool at room temperature so that they remain gooey and delicious! Cover the leftovers and store at room temperature for up to 1 week.
