Ingredients
Fill a large pot with 2 inches of vegetable oil and heat until the oil reaches 350 degrees F.
Add water, butter, cinnamon and salt to a saucepan. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low.
Gradually add the flour. Continue to stir in the flour until a ball is formed. Then remove the saucepan from the heat and cool.
Add the eggs. Then add the eggs into the mixture one at a time and stir until they are all combined.
Attach a star tip to a piping bag and spoon the dough mixture into the bag. Pipe 1-1 ½ strips of dough over the sauce pan and place them in the hot oil.
Then remove the churro bites from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
Then in a small shallow dish, combine the sugar and the remaining cinnamon.
Roll the churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.
Serve warm and enjoy!
This recipe is for bite size churros instead of one large one. It is the ideal size for snacking and the best excuse to eat several.
The churros bites are yummy plain but it is fun to use dipping sauce too.
