Ingredients

Ingredients for ice cream cake - oreos, butter, cookies and cream, hot fudge sauce, whipped cream.

  • Butter. Real butter is always best.
  • Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. This gives the cake so much cookie flavor! You can use any brand you love.
  • Hot Fudge Sauce. You can use store bought or Hot Fudge Sauce Recipe. Another option is chocolate syrup.
  • Whipped Cream. I love to use Homemade Whipped Cream Recipe.

Step 8. Finally, freeze for at least 30 minutes or until ready to serve. Then slice and enjoy.

Pro Tips

  • Soften before serving. Allow the ice cream cake to sit at room temperature before serving a few minutes. This will make it easier to slice.
  • Freeze each layer. It’s important to freeze the layers before adding each new layer of ingredients.
  • Carefully spread the ice cream. It is easiest to spread the ice cream on top of the cookies if you allow it to soften.
  • Line the pan. It will be easier to lift out to cut if lined in parchment paper.
  • Coarsely chop cookies. You don’t want them crushed into fine crumbs but left with larger pieces.
  • Transport without melting. If you plan to take this cake somewhere, I suggest placing in a cooler with ice packs. Do not open the cooler until ready to serve.

Storage

Cover in plastic wrap and place in the freezer. Allow to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes when ready to serve.
