Fruit Pizza has a delicious sugar cookie crust layered with cream cheese frosting. It’s topped with fresh fruit for a gorgeous dessert for any occasion.

This Fruit Pizza is so easy to make. It starts with store bought sugar cookie dough for a simple yet delicious crust. The homemade cream cheese frosting is light and not overly sweet.
We have so much fun arranging our favorite fresh fruit on top into a pretty design. I have taken this dessert to numerous parties and special occasions and it’s always a hit.

Why We Love This
It’s a breeze to make and the perfect dessert for any occasion. The entire recipe is so easy to follow and turns out stunning and delicious. Kids and adults both will love this recipe.
Ingredients

Sugar Cookie Crust
- Prepared Sugar Cookie Dough. I used Pillsbury but you can use the brand you prefer.
Frosting
- Cream Cheese. Full fat, brick style cream cheese will result in the best texture.
- Butter. Real butter is best in this recipe.
- Vanilla Extract. Gives the frosting the perfect flavor. Make sure to use pure vanilla extract.
- Powdered Sugar. Sift before using if it is lumpy.
Fruit Toppings
- Fresh Fruit. I like to use pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, kiwi and raspberries but you can use what you prefer.
Find the complete recipe at the bottom of the page.
Variations
- Sugar Cookie Crust. You can use homemade Soft Sugar Cookie Recipe instead of store bought if you prefer.
- Fruit. Feel free to change this to suit what is in season and the fruit you love.
Step By Step Instructions
- Step 1. Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. Then spray a 12″ pizza pan with cooking spray.

Step 2. Spread the cookie dough into the pan evenly. Then bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly golden brown. It is ok for the center to be soft. As it cools, it will continue to set.

Step 3. While the sugar cookie crust cools, make the frosting in a medium bowl or large bowl. I recommend an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. Whip until combined and light and fluffy.

Step 4. Spread the frosting on the cooled crust.

Step 5. Finally, add the fruit on top of the cream cheese layer. I like to create a fun design, but you can also just scatter the fruit on top. Then slice and serve.
Storage
Cover the fruit pizza with plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator up to 2-3 days. Any longer, and the juice from the fruit will make the fruit pizza soggy. It is best served within 12 hours of making it.
Pro Tips
- Dry the fruit. It is helpful to dry the fruit before adding to the pizza to reduce the moisture.
- Crust. If you prefer a crispier crust instead of a soft sugar cookie crust, bake for 15 minutes. It will be similar to thin crust pizza.
- Oven times vary. Oven times vary so make sure to check the crust.
- Fruits to avoid. I don’t recommend using bananas because they brown and watermelon because of the water content.
- Best Fruits. The best fruits to use should be easy to bite and not difficult to cut and serve. Try to use a colorful fruit variety. Some ideas include kiwi, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, grapes, strawberries, pineapple and mandarin oranges.
