I’m not sure what could be better than hot fudge. It is definitely my favorite on No Churn Vanilla Ice Cream! Once I found out the best hot fudge sauce could be made with 3 ingredients, I knew it was a winner.

What’s the Difference between Hot Fudge and Chocolate Sauce?
The main difference between Hot Fudge and Chocolate Sauce is the texture. Hot Fudge is thicker and more rich in flavor. Chocolate Sauce is thinner and is easy to pour.

- Chocolate Chips. Use good quality chocolate for the best taste. You can use Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, Dark or Milk Chocolate.

How to Make Hot Fudge Sauce
Step 1. Add Ingredients to pan. In a heavy saucepan, add all ingredients and stir.
Step 2. Heat over medium heat and whisk constantly until chocolate mixture is melted. The sauce should be smooth. Reduce the heat once melted. Serve and enjoy.

How long does Homemade Hot Fudge last?
It will keep up to 1 month in an airtight container in the fridge. We prefer to use a simple mason jar. You probably already have several in your cabinet.

- Chocolate Variation – Change the chocolate to what you prefer. Milk chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips are some of our favorites.

- 1 can 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
