Instructions

  • Spray an 8X8 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray or line the pan with parchment paper.
  • Place the butter and marshmallows in a large microwave safe bowl.  Heat it up in 30 second intervals and stir between each interval.  Heat until completely melted and smooth.
  • Then stir in the Jello mixture until well combined.
  • Then stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until the cereal is well coated by the marshmallow mixture.
  • Next press the mixture into the 8X8 baking pan.  I spray wax paper with non-stick cooking spray and use the wax paper to press the mixture into the pan so that it does not stick to a spoon or my hands.  Sprinkle the red sprinkles over the top of the Rice Krispie Treats and gently press the sprinkles down into the Rice Krispie Treats.
  • Set the pan aside and allow to cool completely at room temperature.  Do not place it in the refrigerator as it will make the Rice Krispie Treats too hard and no longer gooey (gooey is the best part).

  • Store in an air tight container.
