Pro Tips

  • Dough – There is no need to chill the dough prior to baking it. If you prefer you can make it and place in the refrigerator until you are ready to make.
  • Flour – Use the right amount of flour and preparing these cookies. To much flour could cause the cookies to be dry and tough.
  • Same Size Cookies – When are ready to divide the cookies and place on a cookie sheet, I like to use a cookie scoop. This ensures that the cookies are even and they are all done at the same time.
  • Cooling – Whenever we bake cookies, we recommend allowing the cookies to cool on the baking sheet. This allows them to finish cooking and you don’t end up with overcooked cookies.
  • Glaze – We like to prepare the glaze while the cookies are baking. This saves time and it is ready when the cookies are done baking.
  • Eggnog – We get store bought eggnog to prepare these cookies. It is delicious and saves time.
  • Add Flavors – If you want to increase the depth of flavor, you can add in rum extract.
