How to Make Red Hot Cookies:

  • Step 1 – Heat Oven – Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Step 2 – Crush Candies – Place the red hot candies in a ziplock bag. Then gently crush them with a rolling pin or mallet.

Recipe Tips:

  • Combine Ingredients – Cream the butter and sugar with a stand mixer for best results. Make sure to scrape sides of the bowl.
  • Prepared Baking Sheet – Line baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray. This helps for an easy cleanup and removing the cooking from the pan. You can also use a silicone mat.
  • Cooling Cookies – Cool the cookies on a wire rack before serving.
  • Scooping Cookie Dough – You can use spoons to scoop the dough but we recommend using a cookie scoop.
