Ingredients

Ingredients for Nutella Bars - butter, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, flour, chocolate chips, nutella.
  • Unsalted Butter. Soften the butter at room temperature so it’s easier to combine.
  • Brown Sugar. Homemade Brown Sugar Recipe is so easy, and you can use it in this recipe. You can use light brown sugar or dark brown sugar.
  • Eggs. I used large eggs.
  • Vanilla Extract. Try to use pure vanilla extract for the best taste.
  • All Purpose Flour. I suggest spooning the flour into the measuring cup. This is more accurate for measuring then scooping.
  • Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips. The mini size is perfect in this recipe.
  • Nutella. This hazelnut spread is the star of the recipe!

Pro Tips

  • Measure the flour. Make sure that you measure the flour correctly by fluffing the four. Then spooning it into the measuring spoons instead of scooping the flour with the measuring spoons.
  • Don’t overmix the batter. Combine the ingredients until just mixed together.
  • Swirl the Nutella. Use a butter knife to swirl the dollops of Nutella into a design. Don’t go too far down or swirl too much.
  • Soft Brown Sugar. Make sure to the brown sugar is fresh and soft for the best results and texture.
  • Serve warm for gooey bars. I like to let the bars cool slightly but still a little warm. Each bite is so gooey and delicious.
