Storage

Pro Tips

  • Don’t overbake the cookies. They will continue to bake as they sit and you don’t want to burn them. They should be light brown.
  • Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. This helps cleanup to be easier and prevents the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Don’t overmix the cookie dough. Combine only until mixed together. If you overmix the dough, the cookies will be tough.

Frequently asked questions

Can you freeze the dough?

Normally, cookie dough can be frozen. However, this recipe can’t due to the rice krispies cereal. It will absorb too much liquid and the texture will change.

Does the cereal stay crispy in the cookies?

Some stay crispy and some soften. It results in an amazing cookie.
