    Seeing how I don’t use sugar, I have been using dates for years. Depending on the sweetness I need, I usually use at least 8. I break them open in a large cup or small bowl and cover them with water and add a touch of maple syrup and cover them with water. Nuke them for 2 minutes then throw them in the blender until smooth. Works great.
