Frequently Asked Questions
Store these cookies in an air tight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. I like to put a white piece of bread in the container for the cookies to keep them soft.

Pro Tips
- Do not overmix the dough. Stir the ingredients just until everything is combined. Overmixing can make the cookies dense instead of soft and tender.
- Use room-temperature eggs. They blend more smoothly into the dough and help create a more even texture in the finished cookies.
- Chill the dough if it feels sticky. If the dough is too soft to handle, refrigerate it for 15–20 minutes to make scooping and shaping easier.
- Use a cookie scoop. This helps create evenly sized cookies, so they bake at the same rate and look more uniform.
- Do not overbake. Remove the cookies when the edges are set but the centers still look slightly soft. They will continue to firm up as they cool.
- Line the baking sheet. Using parchment paper or a silicone baking mat prevents sticking and makes cleanup easier.
- Add extra sprinkles on top. Press a few sprinkles onto the tops of the dough balls before baking so the cookies look extra colorful and festive.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet. Allow them to sit for a few minutes before transferring to a rack so they finish setting without breaking apart.

Can you tell us how to keep them from puffing up? And which brand is best?
Thank you.
I usually any brand and you can press the dough down slightly with the bottom of a glass cup to keep them from puffy up when baking. Thank you.
