Why We Love This Recipe
The ingredients are so simple, but it all comes together for a really fantastic dessert or snack.
This has sort of been the “go to” snack around here whenever we are craving sweets because it is so easy and I usually have most of the ingredients.
The flavor of this no bake dessert dip is so rich and creamy. If you love this flavor, try Rice Krispie Treats with Marshmallow Fluff.
Ingredients
- Marshmallow Fluff: Adds a light, sweet, and fluffy texture that makes this dip irresistible.
- Cream cheese: Provides a rich, creamy base and balances the sweetness.
- Cool Whip: Keeps the dip light and airy while adding a smooth, whipped texture.
- Mini chocolate chips: Adds a touch of chocolate in every bite for extra flavor and texture.

Variations
- Homemade Marshmallow Fluff. If you don’t have any marshmallow fluff, make homemade Marshmallow creme .
- Homemade Whipped Cream. We like to make homemade whipped cream for dessert recipes.
- Brown Sugar. If you want this dip sweeter, add 1 tablespoon brown sugar. I would taste test the dip before you add it though because it is already sweet.
- Different flavors. Try different types of morsels. Dark chocolate and white chocolate chips make another great idea. I also to use peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips. Try mixing them together! We used mini but regular size would work too.
- Cheeseball. This makes an easy dip recipe but you can shape into a ball to resemble a cheeseball. Just refrigerate and then shape into a ball. Once you have it shaped, place back in the fridge. This is especially pretty for baby showers, parties and more.
- Sprinkles. Top with any sprinkles you prefer such as green sprinkles, rainbow and more. It’s great with holiday sprinkles such as Valentines Day, Easter and Halloween.
- Food Coloring. Dye the dip any color you like to match any occasion.
How To Make Booty Dip

Step 1. Combine the cream cheese and jar of marshmallow fluff together in a mixing bowl. I recommend using an electric mixer. You can use a hand mixer or stand mixer.

Step 2. Next, fold in the cool whip with a spatula.

Step 3. Don’t use the mixer for this part. Combine the mixture by hand.

Step 4. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.

Step 5. Mix together until combined.

Step 6. Serve with your favorite dippers.
Serving Ideas
- Graham crackers: Break into sticks for easy dipping.
- Animal crackers: A fun, kid-friendly option that pairs perfectly.
- Pretzels: Use rods, twists, or any shape for a sweet and salty combo.
- Fruit: Strawberries and apple slices add a fresh, slightly tart contrast.
- Vanilla wafers: Soft, sweet cookies that complement the creamy dip.
- Cookies: Shortbread or similar cookies work well and help balance the sweetness.

Pro Tips
- Use room temperature cream cheese: Softened cream cheese blends smoothly and prevents lumps in the dip.
- Fold in chocolate chips: Gently stir them in by hand to keep the dip light and fluffy. Avoid using a mixer.
- Don’t overmix: Overmixing can deflate the dip and make it less airy. Mix just until combined.
- Chill before serving: Let the dip sit in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes for the best texture and flavor.
- Taste and adjust: Add a little extra chocolate chips or fluff if you want it sweeter.
- Serve fresh: This dip is best served the same day for the fluffiest consistency.
- Keep it cold: If serving at a party, place the bowl over ice or return to the fridge as needed to maintain texture.
How To Store
This dip will keep up to 5-7 days. Just put leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge. We love this no bake dip. I don’t think we have actually had any leftover booty dip after 5 days in storage.

Booty dip is the BOMB!!!
Made this for weekend with the girls it was a big hit !, Loved it with the chocolate graham crackers !
This sounds like a perfect dip for the summer time when I do not want to bake a dessert for the family. Reminds me of a cannoli dip. Thanks,
Booty Dip was a big hit- I also added 1/2 cup of toasted pecans finely chopped. Everyone at movie night loved it and said I could bring every week!
Super easy! Super sweet (LOL, no shock there!) Everyone loved it! Very adaptable to whatever you have on hand, if you’re out of mini chocolate chips.
Love this so easy to make. Not a messy at all not to sweet perfect and of course cheap dessert to make. My Grandkids and I love it and they also love making it together I enjoy doing things like this with my Grandkids beautiful memories thank you for all your recipes
So glad you liked it! Thank you so much for the review!
This was so good. It didn’t last long. I made the homemade marshmallow fluff and it came out great. I served it at a baby shower with tons of fruit. I was glad that the recipe made a lot .
Question: What can you use instead of Cream Cheese?
Raymond – Happy to help! Here are the best swaps for cream cheese in this dip, depending on the texture and flavor you want. Just keep in mind it will change the taste and texture from the original recipe.
1. Mascarpone. Closest match in creaminess, but milder and slightly sweeter. Use 1:1. Will make the dip extra smooth and luxurious.
2. Greek Yogurt (full-fat). Use 1 cup yogurt + 2–3 tablespoons powdered sugar to thicken and sweeten. Gives a lighter, tangier dip. Chill for 30 minutes to firm up.
3. Ricotta (whipped) Blend ricotta in a food processor until smooth before using. Use 1:1. Makes the dip fluffier but slightly less rich.
4. Neufchâtel Cheese. Basically a lighter version of cream cheese. Use 1:1. Same flavor and texture.
5. Whipped Topping Only (For a lighter dip) Increase Cool Whip to 12–16 oz. The dip will be fluffy but much sweeter and looser—best for fruit trays.
Let me know what you try and how it turns out!
