Pro Tips

  • Use room-temperature butter and cream cheese. This ensures the dough is smooth and easy to mix.
  • Sift powdered sugar. Prevents lumps and gives a silky, soft finish.
  • Measure flour correctly. Spoon into the cup instead of scooping to avoid dense cookies.
  • Don’t overbake. Cookies should be slightly soft in the center—they’ll firm up as they cool.
  • Chill dough if needed. If the dough is too soft to handle, chill for 15–30 minutes before rolling.
  • Use a cookie scoop. Ensures evenly sized cookies that bake uniformly.

Storage

Room temperature. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Refrigerator. Keep in an airtight container for up to 1 week to maintain freshness.

Freezer. Freeze baked cookies for up to 3 months; thaw at room temperature before serving.

Tip. Place a slice of bread in the container to help keep cookies soft longer.
