Ingredients for Oreo funnel cake - flour, milk, eggs, powdered sugar, ice cream, whipped cream, oreo cookies.

  • All Purpose Flour. Spoon the flour into the measuring cup instead of scooping the flour for accurate measuring.
  • Milk. You can use any milk you prefer bur whole milk will be richer.
  • Eggs. I used large eggs.
  • Powdered Sugar. Sift the powdered sugar to remove any lumps.
  • Vanilla Ice Cream. No Churn Vanilla Ice Cream is delicious.
  • Whipped Cream. You can use store bought or Homemade Whipped Cream Recipe.
  • Oreo Cookies. Regular Oreo cookies and not double stuffed work best.

How to Make Oreo Funnel Cake

  • Step 1. Combine the dry ingredients. Use a mixing bowl to combine the dry ingredients. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • Step 2. Mix together the wet ingredients. Get out a separate mixing bowl for the wet ingredients and combine together.

Step 3. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients. Whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Step 4. Stir until the mixture is smooth.

Step 5. You will need a skillet with oil. Heat on medium heat until the oil reaches 350 degrees. Then add the batter to the hot oil. Drizzle the batter back and forth as you gradually pour the batter. Deep fry each side. This takes only a few seconds until it is golden brown.

Step 6. Finally, remove from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb the grease. Top with powdered sugar immediately. Then add ice cream and whipped topping. Sprinkle the crushed Oreos and add the 2 whole Oreo cookies. Arrange the cookies to make Mickey ears and serve warm.

  • Chocolate Sauce. Drizzle chocolate or Hot Fudge Sauce all over for a fabulous dessert.

  • Pouring the batter. Use a Piping Bag or a funnel to dispense the funnel cake batter into the sizzling hot oil. Either of these would be handy to pour the batter into the intricate design. You can also use a squeeze bottle.
  • It is best to use a neutral oil. Vegetable or canola oil make good options.
  • Gradually add more milk if the batter is too thick. It should be the consistency of cake batter.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients: milk and 2 large eggs.
  • Slow stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and stir until the mixture is smooth.
  • Heat up vegetable oil in a sauce pan. You will want to line the bottom of the pan with approximately 2″ of oil. Heat on medium heat until the oil is hot (2-4 minutes).
  • Slowly drizzle approximately ½ cup of the batter into the oil. You will want to swirl and criss-cross the batter across each other to form the funnel cake look. You can also use a piping bag for this process.
  • Fry each side of the funnel cake until they are golden brown (60-90 seconds per side).
  • Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel line plate.
  • Dust with powder sugar immediately.
  • Top with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream. Sprinkle crushed oreos all over thetop.
  • Add two oreos to make mickey ears and serve warm.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining batter until all the funnel cakes are created. The batter makes approximately 4-6 cakes depending on the size of your funnel cakes.
