Step 2. Dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate. Use a fork to coat each pretzel in melted candy.
Step 3. After dipping, remove any excess chocolate. Tap the fork on the side of the bowl until all of the excess candy is removed from the pretzel. Place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Step 4. Drizzle with a fork the different colors of melted candy. Let the pretzels sit until dry. This will take approximately 1 hour at room temperature or 30 minutes in a refrigerator.
Storage
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
Pro Tips
- Use different bowls for each color so they don’t get mixed together.
- Do not overcook the candy melts. It is very important to melt them in 30 second intervals to ensure that you do not burn the chocolate.
- Try to remove any excess chocolate before putting the pretzels on the baking sheet to dry. Not only will this help them dry faster, but it will help to not waste the chocolate.
- Make sure to line your baking sheet with wax paper. This will help with cleanup and also prevent the pretzels from sticking.
- Decorate Pretzels with red, white and blue sprinkles while chocolate is still wet.
