How to Air Fry Chocolate Chip Cookies
Step 1. Cream together the butter and sugars. Use a large bowl and beat the butter and white sugars and light brown sugar or dark brown sugar with an electric mixer. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until the mixture is creamy. The butter should be softened but do not melt the butter.
Step 2. Add the eggs and vanilla to the mixture. Continue mixing until thoroughly combined.
Step 3. Get out a separate bowl. Stir together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt. Then mix the bowl of dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Next, gently stir in the chocolate chips.
Step 4. Form the cookies. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to shape the cookie dough into balls. Place the cookie dough in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper.
Step 5. Air fry the cookies at 300 degrees for 7-8 minutes until the cookies are golden brown.
Step 6. Let the cookies cool in the air fryer basket for 1-2 minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
Pro Tips
- Allow to set. The cookies should stay in the air fryer basket for 1 to 2 minutes to set before removing.
- Use a cookie scoop. We like to form the cookie dough balls using a cookie scoop. Not only does it make the cookies uniform but it is so easy to form the balls.
- Fold in the chocolate carefully. Don’t use the electric mixer when adding the chocolate.
- Don’t overmix the batter. Stir the ingredients together until just combined. Don’t continue to mix or the texture will not be the same.
Storage
Store the leftover cookies in an airtight container or bag at room temperature for up to 1 week. Keep a piece of bread in the container with the cookies to keep them soft.
