Freezer: You can freeze unbaked apple pie bombs for up to 1 month. Wrap individually or place in a freezer-safe container. Thaw in the fridge and air fry before serving.

Pro Tips

  • Use Homemade Apple Pie Spice: Making Apple Pie Spice blend saves money and lets you control the flavor intensity.
  • Chop the Apple Filling: Cut the pie filling into small, bite-sized pieces so the bombs are easy to eat and the filling cooks evenly.
  • Dip While Warm: Roll the cooked apple pie bombs in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while they’re still hot so it sticks beautifully.
  • Use Layered Biscuits: Pillsbury Grand Biscuits or other layered biscuits work best for a soft, flaky exterior.
  • Do Not Overfill: Avoid overstuffing the biscuits with filling, or they may burst while cooking.
  • Air Fry in Batches: Don’t overcrowd the basket; cook in batches for evenly crispy, golden-brown results.
  • Customize Toppings: Serve with ice cream, drizzle with caramel, or sprinkle extra cinnamon sugar for added flavor.
