Ingredients for Christmas cookie dip.

  • Cream Cheese, softened at room temperature
  • Butter, softened at room temperature
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Holiday Sprinkles

Find the complete ingredient list at the bottom.

Variations:

  • For a lighter dip, substitute whipped cream for the Greek Yogurt. You can easily make homemade whipped cream with heavy cream if desired.
  • You can use different sprinkles to enjoy this year round. Simply substitute any color you like.
  • Toss in a handful of chocolate chips. The combination of chocolate with the cookie dough dip is so yummy.
  • Substitute flavored yogurt instead of vanilla.

Step 1. Combine the butter and cream cheese. Add the powdered sugar and blend with a handheld electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Step 2. Mix in the flour and vanilla extract.

Step 3. Stir in sprinkles and gently hand stir them together. Make sure to reserve some for topping. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.

Step 4. Serve and enjoy this dessert dip. Serve topped with the remaining sprinkles and your favorite dippers.

How to serve

  • Graham Crackers. Break apart graham crackers for dipping. You can use honey, cinnamon or chocolate graham crackers.
  • Teddy Grahams. Try plain, cinnamon or chocolate.
  • Vanilla Wafers. These always please a crowd.
  • Pretzels. Any variety will work. Try sticks, snaps or round.
  • Fruit. Apple slices, strawberries and grapes make good options.
  • Gingerbread Men. This would be so cute for Christmas to serve with Gingerbread man cookies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to store?

Refrigerate any leftover dip in an airtight container. It is best to allow it to come to room temperature before serving. I normally allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes to soften before serving.

How will the dip last?

The dip will last up to 5 days if stored properly. However, we eat this dip pretty fast, so it never lasts that long around here.

Can you make it ahead of time?

This dip can easily be made ahead of time.  Keep refrigerated until ready to serve. It is such and easy recipe but but preparing in advance will help with holidays.

Pro Tips:

  • Don’t forget to reserve sprinkles for the top. They add a nice finishing touch and complete the look.
  • The butter and cream cheese should be softened prior to mixing together. Softened ingredients combine easier and make the texture smoother.
  • If you are concerned with eating raw flour, place the flour on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Allow to cool and then add to the dip.
