How To Make Cake Mix Christmas Cookies
- Step 1. Prepare the Oven by preheating to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Combine the box of cake mix, eggs, oil and ¼ cup of the Christmas Sprinkles. The batter will be thick but this is normal. You can use a stand mixer or mix by hand.

Step 3. Form the Cookie Dough Balls with a cookie scoop. Then roll the cookie dough balls in the remaining sprinkles.

Step 4. Place on cookie sheets. Make sure to leave about 2 inches between each cookie.

Step 5. Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are slightly brown. Allow to cool a few minutes and then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
Expert Tips
- Use a Cookie Scoop: A cookie scoop ensures all dough balls are uniform in size, so they bake evenly.
- Cool on a Rack: Transfer cookies to a cooling rack to cool completely before serving or decorating.
- Line the Baking Sheet: Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
- Roll in Sprinkles: After forming dough balls, roll them in sprinkles to ensure each cookie is fully covered.
- Don’t Overbake: Bake just until the edges are set; cookies will stay soft and tender.
- Even Spacing: Leave enough space between cookies on the baking sheet to allow for spreading.
- Storage Tip: Once cooled, store in an airtight container to keep cookies soft and fresh.
