How to serve the ice cream

  • We even have sundae glasses and they are so pretty with all of ice cream and toppings layered. Plus, I love that you can reuse these every time you have an ice cream social.
  • If you prefer to use disposable party cups for the ice cream, those are cute as well. It is so fun putting this ice cream bar ideas together.
  • Mason jars are also cute to use and they come in a variety of sizes. We always have a bunch of these on hand so it is very frugal to use these for parties.
  • Don’t forget the ice cream cones. We love the regular cones and the cone bowls.

Tips for Ice Cream Sundae Bar:

If you are serving more than just a couple of people, you might want to consider pre scooping ice cream. This will make the process go much faster.

You can scoop it and keep in the freezer until ready to serve. We did this for a school party and it really helped move the line along. People can grab  their ice cream and go straight to the toppings instead of waiting for someone to scoop the ice cream.

This can be done in small bowls or cups. You can also freeze it in a muffin tin. This is great for parties and also takes up less room in the freezer.

Excellent ideas for an ice cream bar. I really like the triple ice cream can holder you show in the picture. Can you tell me where I can find one like that? We’re going to try this for a July 4th party! 🙂
