Ingredients

- Double Stuffed Oreo Cookies. The double stuffed are thicker and work great in this recipe.
- Mini Oreo Cookies. The perfect size for the ears. You can also use an Oreo thin bites cookie.
- Candy Melts. You need white and red. I like to use candy melts because they melt so smoothly.
- White Circle Candy Sprinkles. They need to be circles so they resemble buttons. White nonpareil sprinkles work best.

Variations
- Cookie Pops. Insert a sucker stick into the top center of the Oreo to make Mickey Mouse Oreo Pops.
- Minnie Mouse Cookies. You can also try making Minnie Mouse Oreo Cookies by using pink candy melts and adding Minnie’s bow on top. Add polka dots by using white sprinkles. Try also using pink conversation hearts to make the bow by inserting the bottom tip of a conversation heart into the cookie. The place an oval sprinkle in the center of the conversation heart bow.
- Coating. Dip the entire cookie in chocolate wafers or melted almond bark and then decorate. You can also use white chocolate for a white cookie or melt a package milk chocolate chips. Top dipped cookies with red sprinkles or pink sprinkles. I like crystal sprinkles.
- White Candy Melts instead of sprinkles. You can melt white candy melts and place inside a small ziploc bag and cut a tiny tip. Pipe small dots on each cookie instead of using sprinkles.
Step By Step Instructions
- Step 1. Prepare the pan with parchment paper or wax paper.

Step 2. Melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments. Stir after each interval, until fully melted.

Step 3. Separate the mini Oreo pieces with a knife. Then remove the cream center. You can leave the mini cookies separated on the counter.

Step 4. Dip the bottom of the mini cookie into melted chocolate. Press into the filling in the double stuffed Oreo cookie. Put a mini oreo on each side to resemble the ears. Place cookies on a baking sheet.

Step 5. Melt the red candy melts in the microwave. Continue to melt in 30 second intervals until completely melted. Stir and scrape the sides of the bowl. Dip the bottom half of the double stuf oreo into the melted candy melts. Remove any excess candy melts from the bottom edge by tapping on the side of the bowl with a fork.

Step 6. Pour the sprinkles into a small bowl. Before the candy melts set, add 2 of the sprinkles for the small buttons on the bottom half of the cookie.

Step 7. Continue until all of the cookies have been decorated with mickey heads and mickey’s ears. Place cookie on the cookie sheet in a single layer. Allow to set at room temperature and serve. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes for faster results.

FAQs
Store the leftovers in an airtight container covered in plastic wrap up to 1 week. I suggest storing in a cool place, so they don’t melt. You do not have to store in the fridge.
Yes, you certainly can. Swap the traditional Oreo for other flavors.
Pro Tips
- Add the sprinkles right away. They will not stick if you wait for the candy to set.
- Remove the filling from the mini cookies. They will be too heavy if you leave the filling inside.
- Allow to set. The cookies need to completely set before storing.
- Use Tweezers to add candy circles. The dots are so small. If you have trouble adding to the cookies, use tweezers to do this. You can also use a toothpick.
- Have extra Oreo Cookies. I recommend having a couple of spare double stuf oreos for this Mickey Mouse Oreo Cookies recipe. This will be handy in case a few break.
- Thin candy melts. If the melted candy is too thick, add a teaspoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening to thin the mixture. You can add up to tablespoon of coconut oil per bag of candy wafers.
