  • Powdered Sugar. Skip the cinnamon and sugar and top with powdered sugar.

How to make Disney Churros

  • Step 1. First, put oil in medium skillet. Fill it with the vegetable oil and heat it until temperature reaches 350 degrees.

Step 2. Get out a saucepan and add the water, butter, ¼ tsp of the cinnamon and salt.  Don’t use all of the cinnamon. You will need that later.

Step 3. Then stir the mixture until it is well combined. Bring pot to rolling boil and reduce the heat to low.

Step 4. Now add the flour and stir vigorously until mix forms a ball.

Step 5. Once you see the ball form, remove the pan from the heat.

Step 6. Let this cool for 5 minutes and then add the eggs into the mixture.

Step 7. Make sure to add the eggs one at a time and stir until they are all combined.

Step 8. Next, you will need a piping bag with a large star tip. Spoon dough into piping bag fitted with large star tip.

Step 9. Then pipe strips of dough over the sauce pan and put in the hot oil. You can cut the dough with a knife. Fry churro bites for about 2 to 3 minutes on medium-high heat until they are golden brown. Remove the churros from the oil using a spider strainer. Drain churro bites on parchment paper or paper towels to soak up the excess oil.

Step 10. Use a small shallow dish or medium bowl and mix sugar and the remaining cinnamon.

Step 11. Finally, toss the churro bites until coated in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm. Place on a serving plate and serve with favorite dipping sauce.

  • Chocolate Sauce. Chocolate fans will go crazy over this easy Hot fudge recipe. You can also use white chocolate.
  • Blueberry Sauce. This sauce is so simple to make and so delicious. It is perfect with churros.

How to Store Churros

These are best served fresh. However, if you have leftovers place them inside an airtight container up to 2 days

Make sure they are completely cool before putting them in the container. They can be stored at room temperature.

Can you make Disney churro recipe in advance?

You can make the churro dough up to 1 day in advance. Keep it inside an airtight container in the fridge.

Make sure to let the dough return to room temperature before frying.

Pro Tips

  • Cool the dough. It is very important that you allow the dough to cool prior to adding the eggs.
  • Piping bag. If you do not have one, place the dough in a ziplock bag. You can cut the corner off to pipe the dough.
  • Oil. Don’t try to fry the churros until the oil has heated up properly.
  • Give the churros space. You don’t want to put too many at a time to fry.
  • Cinnamon Sugar Coating. Don’t dip the churros right away. Let them drain on a paper towel lined plate first.

Instructions

  • Fill a large pot with the vegetable oil and heat until the oil reaches 350 degrees F.
  • While the oil is heating, prepare the dough for the churros.
  • In a small sauce pan, add the water, butter, ¼ tsp of the cinnamon and salt.  Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.  Then reduce the heat to low.
  • Slowly add in the flour until a ball is formed.  Then remove the sauce pan from the heat and cool for 5 minutes. Then add the eggs into the mixture one at a time and stir until they are all combined.
  • Attach a large star tip to a piping bag and spoon the dough mixture into the piping bag.  Pipe 1-2 inch strips of dough over the sauce pan (cut the dough with a knife) and place them in the hot oil.  Repeat the process until you have multiple churros frying the oil but be careful to not over crowd the pan so that the churros can still fry.
  • Fry the churros in the oil for 2-3 minuets until they are golden brown.
  • Then remove the churros from the oil with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
  • Then in a small shallow dish, combine the sugar and the remaining cinnamon.
  • Roll the churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture while they are still warm.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
