Pro Tips

  • Crust – We recommend crushing the cookies with a food processor. This allows for the cookies to chop finely.
  • Chill Crust – While you are preparing the cream cheese filling, refrigerate the crust.
  • Cream Cheese – Make sure the cream cheese has softened before mixing with the other ingredients.
  • Strawberries – We like using fresh slice strawberries to mix in with the filling. Frozen strawberries can be used but make sure to thaw before mixing.
  • Spread the Layers Evenly – Evenly spread the layers across the pan so that all areas are covered.
  • Cut clean lines – This dessert is eye appealing so we make sure to cut clean lines. Make sure your knife is clean each time you cut and you can even run it under warm water.

FAQs

Do I Make the Strawberry Jell-O According to box instructions?

No, you will only add the boiling water to the Jell-O and stir for about 2 minutes until dissolved. Then stir with cold water and ice cubes.

Can you Make this Strawberry Jell-O in advance?

Yes, this is the perfect dessert to make in advance. Prepare pie as indicated and then place in the refrigerator covered until ready to serve. Strawberry Jell-o Lasagna will last about 3 days in the refrigerator.

We recommend waiting to garnish pie until you are ready to serve.

What does Softened Cream Cheese mean?

To make this recipe it is essential that the cream cheese is softened. This means that the cream cheese needs to get to room temperature prior to mixing with the other ingredients.

If you need to quickly bring cream cheese to room temperature, simply cut the cream cheese into cubes and separate. This allows for the cream cheese to softened in about 20 minutes when left on the counter.
