How to Make Chocolate Lasagna Recipe
- Step 1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 9×13 pan by spraying with cooking spray. You can also line the pan with parchment paper.

Step 2. Make both of the brownie mixes. Stir each batch together based on the directions on box.

Step 3. Pour all of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Bake and then allow to cool on a wire rack.

Step 4. While the brownies cool, make the sweet vanilla cream cheese layer. Use a large mixing bowl to whip the cream cheese on high speed until smooth. Then add the butter and combine. Lower the mixer speed to low speed and gradually add the powdered sugar. It should be lighter than cheesecake filling. You can add a pinch of salt to balance out the sweetness.

Step 5. Remove the brownies from the pan.

Step 6. Carefully cut the fudge brownie in half widthwise. Then cut each thick layer in half again horizontally to make 4 even pieces.

Step 7. Place one piece of the brownie on a platter.

Step 8. Top the first layer with a portion of the cream cheese mixture.

Step 9. Top with brownie.

Step 10. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the top of the cake. Put the cake in the freezer to allow the layers to set.

Step 11. When ready to enjoy, top each slice of rich fudgy brownie with chocolate sauce, chocolate drizzle, chocolate ganache or semisweet chocolate shavings. Allow to sit at room temperature before serving.

- Then prepare the brownie mixes based on the directions on the back of the box and pour both of the prepared mixes into the 9X13 pan.
- Bake the brownies for 35-40 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the brownies comes out clean. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
- Make the Cream Cheese Layer:
- In a large mixing bowl add cream cheese, and beat until smooth. Add in the butter and beat until smooth. Use a stand up mixer or a hand held mixer.
- Gradually add in the powdered sugar (½ cup at a time) mixing between each addition until all is well combined and smooth. Then add in the vanilla. The cream cheese layer should be thick.
- Then assemble the lasagna:
- Carefully, remove the brownies from the pan. Cut the brownies in half widthwise and then each piece in half again horizontally to make 4 even pieces.
- Then place one piece of the brownie on a platter. Top it with ¼ of the cream cheese mixture.
- Continue to repeat the layer until you have used all the brownies pieces and cream cheese mixture.
- The final layer on top should be the cream cheese layer.
- Then place the cake in the freezer until all the layers are set (approximately 1 hour).
- When serving, trim off any raw edges of the cake to square off the sides of the cake.
