Step By Step Instructions
- Step 1. Preheat the oven and prepare the bundt pan.

Step 2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and eggs until well combined.

Step 3. Get out a separate bowl. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon and salt.

Step 4. Mix the dry ingredients and the wet ingredients until just combined. I used a stand mixer.

Step 5. Then gently stir in the diced apples.

Step 6. Pour the batter into the bundt pan. Gently tap the bundt pan on the countertop to even out the cake batter. This will help to remove any air bubbles from the batter. Bake the cake until golden brown.

Step 7. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes. Then carefully turn the bundt pan over onto the rack to cool completely.

Step 8. Combine the glaze ingredients using medium heat. Add the butter, heavy whipping cream and brown sugar to a medium saucepan.

Step 9. Stir constantly until the butter has melted. Then bring the mixture to a boil and boil for approximately 1 minute. Remove the mixture from the stove. Stir in the vanilla extract and confectioner’s sugar. Let the glaze sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken.

Step 10. Top the cake with the glaze.

Step 11. Then the cake is ready to slice, serve and enjoy!
Toppings
- Whipped Cream. Dollop whipped cream on each slice before serving. Store bought or homemade whipped cream is great to use.
- Ice Cream. Try serving this cake with a scoop of No Churn Vanilla Ice Cream or caramel ice cream for a decadent dessert.
- Powdered Sugar. You can skip the glaze and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Storage
Room Temperature: Store the cake in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days to keep it moist.
Refrigerator: Can be kept in the fridge for up to 1 week, especially if glazed. Allow the cake to come to room temperature before serving.
Freezer: Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then foil; freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge or at room temperature before serving.
Glaze Tip: If storing glazed cake, wait until the glaze has set completely to avoid it running or sticking.
Pro Tips
- Grease and Flour the Pan: Coat the bundt pan thoroughly so the cake releases easily from all the nooks and crannies.
- Check for Doneness: Insert a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean and the cake should be golden brown.
- Cool Before Removing: Let the cake cool completely to prevent it from falling apart.
- Remove Carefully: Gently run a butter knife around the edges before lifting the cake from the pan.
- Even Apple Pieces: Dice apples uniformly so they cook evenly and distribute throughout the cake.
