Expert Tips
- Testing the bread. Make sure to not put the toothpick into a melted chocolate chip when testing the bread for doneness.
- Frozen bananas. You can use frozen bananas for this recipe. Make sure to defrost them completely before using them.
- Don’t overbake the bread. You want it to be moist and delicious. Overbaking the bread will result in dry bread that isn’t as good.
- Allow to cool before slicing. It’s important to let it cool completely before slicing or it will fall apart.
- Double the recipe and freeze. The recipe is freezer friendly. I like to make extra to enjoy later. Simply allow the bread to cool and wrap in plastic wrap and foil. Place inside a freezer bag and freeze up to 1 month.
- Don’t overmix the batter. Mix the ingredients together until just combined. Overmixing will make the bread more dense and not light and fluffy.
- Muffins. This recipe can easily be made into muffins. You will need to adjust the cooking time.
