Step 2. Slowly melt the chocolate on low. You will need to stir the mixture frequently. You do not want the mixture to come to a boil. Once the chocolate has melted, stir in the vanilla extract.

- Nutella. If you love Nutella, add a couple of spoonfuls of this to the mixture. This hazelnut spread is diving in melted chocolate.
- Mexican Hot Chocolate Flavor. Add a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and chili powder to the mixture.
- Citrus Zest. Sprinkle orange or lemon zest for a fruity and delicious flavor.
- Espresso Powder. Sprinkle a little bit of this powder for a rich coffee taste.
